Hi, I’m James

A computer enthusiast, gamer, musician, and problem solver at heart. I enjoy working with computers for recreation, and for work.

Early on

I have been involved in computers my entire working life. I started out working in Tech Depot for Office Depot. Soon after that I moved on to over-the-phone support. Working with many local, and non-local ISPs. I trained as an NRTC certified satellite dish installer, and eventually found myself as a Lead Technician on the call floor.

I spent my free time learning and building computers, and now I continue to learn and support others at the UofSC School of Medicine.

Now, I work at the USC School of Medicine in their IT department.

Ballantyne Computer Services isn’t my only job, and therefore the hours are later in the day. However, given the nature of my work, I believe that those hours remain convenient for everyone.

I’ll do my best to work with you to find a time that suits you. I understand that often times computer needs are urgent. If I can’t help you directly, I will offer what assistance I can to point you in the right direction to getting your issues solved.
